Simple Device Discovery Protocol
Control4®Simple Device Discovery Protocol (SDDP) is software that is built into a manufacturer's product to make integration with a Control4 system easy and seamless. With SDDP, the Control4 home automation system automatically finds and adds SDDP-enabled devices to the platform, dramatically reducing complexity and the installation time for Control4 dealers. Manufacturers can market the SDDP-enabled products as 'automation-ready' and consumers can rest assured that their favorite solutions, regardless of brand, can be added to their Control4 systems. The growing momentum of the Control4 platform and its SDDP technology represents a broadening interest on the part of manufacturers to play a deeper role in the connected home.

The Chowmain Google Android driver is designed to primarily control Google Android Set Top Boxes. This allows you to utilise the Control4 SR-260 remote to navigate the Android operating system and control applications as you would with a normal infra red remote control.
